Do you guys always question the ruler? As a beginner to Penis Enlargement I have experienced gains...sometimes I'm like wow, that has made such a difference, then other times I'm not so sure.

I think it's the same idea as when an anorexic or bullimic sees themselves as being overweight.

It is difficult to notice short term changes in your size, that's why I recommend to take measurement on a weekly basis. Another problem is the inconsistencies between consecutive measurements, because it is difficult to find exactly the same measurement point. I personally measure in flaccid stretched length with the right side of the penis when ruler is pressed towards the penis base.

I think that you missed my point. What I mean is that, when you do indeed have gains, is it hard for you to recognize them visually? I personally know it has gains, but I have a hard time believing it when I look at it visually. It's just a mindset I suppose.

This is very common. Thats why we often recommend taking clear before pictures with a ruler so you don't convince yourself that gains are impossible.

Oh no, my gains are clear on a ruler, but just visually without the ruler not so much. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't the only one :p.

I have the same problem. Maybe when I hit 8" non bp, 9.25" bp...I'll see things differently...or maybe at 9" non bp, 10.25bp? Crap.

The only thing that keeps us sane in a Penis Enlargement sense is the fact that rulers don't shrink over time.

Looking at your own dick for hours a day (in my case. lol) means that you're highly unlikely to notice change.

It's like watching my kids grow up. I see them everyday and therefore don't notice the difference, but when I bump into people I haven't seen in a while they're amazed at how much they've "shot up".

When I look at my dick It still looks the same size (small) to me as it did 4 months ago when I started but it's actually over 1" longer.

I took photos (same angle/distance/with ruler) shortly after I started pe and fairly regularly since, so when I look at the pics side by side I can really see the difference.

BTW, I wiil post the pics some day when I'm ready, but for the moment I can inspire myself by being able to visually see that difference.

I feel like I haven't gained crap and I'm about 2" bigger than when I started! Wish I woulda took even more pictures though.

Even when it's bigger in your own hands your like....um....:(.

I think once you've gained 3+ inches you'll notice visually.

The reason why you are questioning the ruler is because all this while, you have been stretching with your bare hands. Now we have devices that can enable you stretch with so much ease. Nowadays, we rarely see threads like this one where members are complaining about not gaining. If you do the exercises correctly with a device and if you have a straight penis, you will surely see slight increment in gains every 30days but in my opinion, it is wise to stay away from the ruler for at least 90 days. But in my own case, I avoid the rulers completely and use the bathmate sticker to gauge my size.

...also, this is just your brain's natural coping mechanism to any changes. The ability to function at the highest level requires your mind to put much of what you know (or think you know) on auto-pilot thereby freeing up that available energy/brain-space for stuff you're learning. If your brain had to re-learn how to use a fork or drive a car or calculate your reach every single time, it wold be too occupied for anything else. Before PE, your size/shape/color/etc. were locked-into your memory as empirical fact, now that we're making changes, we are also having to adjust what we see with proof. Your brain will always try to revert back to what it deemed 'normal', you just have to be diligent in proving what the new 'normal' is.
Hope that made some sense
