I am a big guy and in my day in the gym my max bench was 315lbs. I have not been in a gym for close to 6 years...I know I am still very strong but not remotely in the same league as GANDOLF, SUPRA or any of the other guys that train.

Your bench would still be around 200..... I think the best gainers on this forum have strong benchs etc etc Or are just strong LOL

Most of my length gains I would attribute to hanging . Only been at it not even a year yet and I don't like stretching cuz im a lazy bastard. I like to have my hands free. There's only so much force you can actually apply with pulling, and it also has to do with angle
