I saw a John Valby show Friday night at a club in Pittsburgh. The CDs I've heard over the years made me laugh a little, but the live show had me laughing my ass off. See him if you ever get a chance.

I first went to go see him back in about '78...I'm amazed that he still pulls in the crowds. Whatcha gotta admire is the fact that he's made a damn good, long career outta singin' songs that'd probably get yer ass arrested if you ever sang 'em out in public.

I hadn't heard of him in years when a kid that useta work for me sent me one of his CD's...he was like, "Dude! ya gotta listen to this guy, he's as fucked up as you are !" (I took that as a compliment, of course.) And that's what I used to introduce my kids to the guy...maybe they'll have a "piano-����" career. And then buy me my fukkin' island !

Finally, we got a couple guys here. MAXAMEYES, that's some funny stuff man. My friends tell me he's half as fucked up as me too, and I take it as a compliment.
