Well, I saw "Fahrenheit 9/11" last nite. The theater was sold out, and the line started some 2 hours earlier. I am still a little overwhelmed by all the information that was presented and documented.

I can't even really describe what I think of the movie, b/c anything I say pales in comparison to actually seeing it. It seriously is an experience you must have first hand. Go see the movie this week while it is still in the big THX theaters b/c the footage can be very intense. Not necessarily in its content, but its footage that I guarantee you've NEVER seen before. The bombs and footage of war and reality, hit me on a new level. Also you know that the footage is real events. I guarantee you will never look at things the same way.

The movie was so interesting, and profound at times, that it had me hanging onto every single word. I've never been so analytical or listened so hard to any movie. The movie's topic is so serious, that when jokes or satire is made, it amplifies the humor. Some jokes are very intelligent and satirical, and some poke what others call "cheap shots" (like footage of Paul Wolfowitz spitting in his hand, and slicking back his hair).

Politics aside, this movie was extraordinarily well-made. The editing was done brilliantly. Every single topic is coordinated with footage you NEVER will see on the news or anywhere else. The music that goes along with movie is VERY well picked out and definatley adds to the humor and adds to the emotion. I never cried, but there were times when I was hit on such a human level. I guarantee this movie will give you every emotion on the spectrum.

Now I want to write about the FACTUAL content of the movie. People, mostly the Bush supporters, will try to say that you shouldn't even bother seeing this movie b/c Moore is biased and a liar and whatever. Well, of course Moore is biased. But the facts are the irrefutable facts. Moore's interpretation of the facts, are debatable. But the movie isnt all about his intreptation, b/c a lot of the movie is establishing and talking about things that the media has dropped, and also things that are reported and backed up by the media, but not talked about much.

Here's a couple of excerpts of a reviewer on the FoxNews team, ironically.

"It turns out to be a really brilliant piece of work, and a film that members of all political parties should see without fail.

As much as some might try to marginalize this film as a screed against President George Bush, "F9/11" — as we saw last night — is a tribute to patriotism, to the American sense of duty — and at the same time a indictment of stupidity and avarice."

"Not so with "F9/11," which instead relies on lots of film footage and actual interviews to make its case against the war in Iraq and tell the story of the intertwining histories of the Bush and bin Laden families."

"F9/11" isn't perfect, and of course, there are leaps of logic sometimes. One set piece is about African-American congressmen and women presenting petitions on the Florida recount, and wondering why there are no senators to support them."

"The most indelible is Bush's reaction to hearing on the morning of Sept. 11, 2001, that the first plane had crashed into the World Trade Center. Bush was reading to a grade-school class in Florida at that moment. Instead of jumping up and leaving, he instead sat in front of the class, with an unfortunate look of confusion, for nearly 11 minutes."

Yes, I will pay for 1 Bush-supporting MOS members ticket. And I encourage anybody else to do the same. This movie is a MUST see. But FoxNews puts it best......"But, really, in the end, not seeing "F9/11" would be like allowing your First Amendment rights to be abrogated, no matter whether you're a Republican or a Democrat."

I will pay the ticket by contributing it to MOS as opposed to sending somebody money in the mail. So DLD, you have to see this too, since I will be encouraging people to contribute to MOS. You too Supra. There are many interviews with soldiers and war footage, that I know you would find interesting.

The trailer itself is also a must-see, the final few moments will shock you...:)

So this may be a disliked post but i must talk,

I for one have not seen the movie but i want to and i will. I am not a bush supporter either, and im 19. My problem with this movie and others like its nature is just the fact that it is only a movie. I will be all ears and open to anything moore has to say in the movie. However, I am growing sick of the United States society in general learing of politics and ideas through movies or tv, and casey please dont think this is a dis to you i know many people who were overwealmed by the movie.

My problem is that a person goes out to a movie and changes theirs views on belifes on a subect becuase the paid 6 dollars for entertainment. In the end i think each person who sees a movie like this needs to realize that it is entertainment, let it have an effect on your beliefs but dont let it change them. This reminds me a Mel gibsons the passion. Im a catholic and the story is by my standards correct but it pisses me off when a person who doesn't believe sees a hollyowood movie and suddenly believes becuase what they saw

Sorry maybe im jsut rambling but im drunk, all im saying is that i think a movie like this is a good thing to see and wiegh on your beliefs, but dont let it change them. Its everyones job to go out and search and make disicions for themselves.

Dude, you're drunk? In that case, can i just say, "i love you man, you're like my best friend, i'd die for you man"
;)

I want to see the movie myself. It sounds interesting. I for one am between politicians right now. Not that I will ever discuss or recommend Politics, Religon, or lawyers. Its just not polite!

Fahrenheit 9/11 is like 75% documentary of facts, and 25% is a cinematic op ed, or “opinion” piece. It dosent matter who you are, you should see this movie. Especially since the other opening movie was "White Chicks". This movie really fries your brain, and hit your emotions. Guarantee you I'm no pussy and I wanted to cry during some parts. I promise you the movie will hit you in a different way.

I'm not basing any beliefs on this movie, I'm basing my opinions on facts. And even though Moore isnt 100% on every single topic (obviously), some of his agruments are almost impossible to refute given the facts.

Moore did pull a "Mel Gibson" with F9/11. He did a good job of starting controversy and letting the media run with it. He even thanked the Right and republicans for trying discourage people to see the movie, b/c as we know it only makes people more curious.

I can't trust Moore to produce anything credible, particularly after Bowling For Columbine. That being said, there may be certain truths in his 9/11 video, but I would steer people towards a much more non-partisan documentary on the subject:

BTW, Alex Jones' videos are not financially backed by Hezbollah.

There is another documentary being released soon called "the corporation" I think its supposed to be more factual than moore's film. I will have to wait until its released though to know for sure.
