About The Jelq

According to some websites, the jelqing technique originated in the Middle East and was allegedly used by Arabic men to enlarge their penises to over 20 inches in length! It's unlikely that these stories are true and in fact some people say that jelqing is a hoax. Whatever the truth of the matter, jelqing seems to have become the most common term used to describe a range of penis stretching, milking and massaging techniques that over time will enlarge the penis.

The jelq exercise will enlarge both girth and the length of the penis. The purpose of the jelq exercise is to force more blood into the corpora cavernosa (the spongy tissue that makes up the penis). This is achieved by using a "milking" technique on the penis. This milking will expand and stretch the cell walls of the corpora cavernosa to allow larger quantities of blood to enter the penis. Jelqing will increase the size of both the flaccid and erect penis, but most markedly in the erect penis. Jelqing exercises are like regular exercises and need to be carried out on a daily basis. Results from using the jelq can be seen in increases in penis size after only a month and more pronounced results can be seen in penis length and penis girth after several months.

Measuring Your Penis

It's a good idea to keep a diary of your jelqing efforts. This should also contain measurements of your penis on a weekly basis. You can certainly measure and record your flaccid penis size but this can vary so the really important important measurements to take are your erect meaurements. Record both your erect penis length and your erect penis girth. Different people recommend all sorts of different ways to measure your penis. It really doesn't matter how you do it AS LONG AS YOU DO IT CONSISTENTLY! That is, make sure you measure it the same way each week.



The Jelqing Warm Up

Jelqing is just like any other exercise - you need to warm-up before starting!

1. Massage you penis until you are semi-tumescent (partial erection).
2. In warm water, soak a washcloth.
3. Wrap the washcloth around your penis for three minutes.
4. Repeat above warm-wrap another three times.

An alternative to the above jelqing warm-up is to simply massage and stroke your semi-erect penis in a warm bath.

The Jelq

1. Put some lubricant (eg. baby oil) on both your hands and penis. Your penis should be semi-erect.
2. With the thumb and forefinger of one hand, make an "Okay" sign around the base of your penis and grip it firmly.
3. Now start a milking motion towards the end of your penis.
4. When your milking hand reaches the head of your penis, form an "Okay" sign with your free hand and start milking as you did previously with the other hand. Do not milk the head of the penis.
5. You should be able to use both hands to create a continuous milking action, alternating between hands.

Ideally, you should be able to complete 100 jelq strokes every five minutes. For the first week, only perform 100 jelq strokes each day. For the second week, perform 200 jelq strokes each day. For the third week, perform 300 jelq strokes each day. From the fourth week onwards, try and perform 500 jelq strokes each day.

Important Points For Safe Jelqing

* Always do the warm-up exercises before commencing jelqing.
* Always use sufficient lubricant during jelqing.
* Don't squeeze too hard when using the jelq grip. If it hurts or you see bruising on your penis after jelqing then your jelq grip is too hard.

* Always perform a "warm-down" (same as a warm-up) routine at the completion of your jelqing exercises.

Jelqing is as old as hanging (or traction force). Engorgement (of which jelqing is a technique) and traction (ie, stretching, hanging, etc) are the two techniques that encompass all penis enlargement exercises. We can only apply forces to the cells artificially to induce mitosis utilizing internal or external forces.

Jelqing builds internal pressure beyond "normal" pressure differential created by the relaxation of "smooth muscle". (Which really is still a form of traction to the individual fibers, but from a different perspective LOL) The only way to chemically "relax" the smooth muscle further is to increase blood flow with vasodilators. Most importantly, Nitric Oxide is responsible for the "expansion" or "relaxation" of the smooth muscle.

To manually force these tissues and chambers to expand requires forcing more blood into the chambers than your "normal" blood pressure will produce. Jelqing is the oldest and most used technique to do so. You are simplistically "training" your penis to hold more blood than it normally would.

Ideally, one would supplement in order to produce a high level of nitric oxide and stay engorged slightly beyond "normal" for as long as possible while still allowing blood to flow into and out of the penis. That is why jelqing is so effective and safe. It constantly (while performing the exercise that is) creates higher than normal expansion of the penis while also allowing new blood to flow in and out of the penis. Without blood flow, or new blood, you have effectively started to "suffocate" your penis of nutrients and oxygen. Causing mitosis without blood, or chemical flow, is like standing still. Daughter cells will not grow into parent cells until they are "fed" sufficiently. LOL And will die before reaching "maturity" or arriving a GZero if "starved".

So jelqing is in some ways superior to clamping or partial vacuums because it continually exceeds "normal" peak engorgement while at the same time inducing new blood to enter the "chambers" of the CC and CS while exercising. The advantage of clamping or partial vacuums is that one can be expanded for longer periods of time than they would by using their hands. However, those techniques lend themselves oftentimes to expanding more than is necessary without encouraging an increased blood flow at the same time.

Blah, blah, blah. LOL Jelqing and kegels are, with the exception of their limitations as far as manual stamina and strength are concerned, the most effective and safest ways to make your penis more able to hold and collect blood in the penis. In the end, engorgement exercises are all about increasing the ability to supply and accept more blood into the penis, or create a pressure differential, which makes the penis "grow" to erection.

Anyway, if you are not seeing gains, even if you weren't jelqing, there is something wrong. Either the intensity (force) or duration of your exercises was not sufficient to induce mitosis. Most likely without knowing your exact routine, it is a matter of duration, because almost everything trendy in the Penis Enlargement world is about producing too much intensity for far too short of a duration. Easiest way to increase "intensity" without increasing the force used is to apply significant heat while performing any exercise to weaken the chemical structure (electrical bonds) and to reduce the tensile strength of the "fibers". Easiest way to increase duration is to either use less force so that you can endure it longer or use a device to apply said force that you can tolerate for as long as possible for you.

depends. I mean its all up to yourself. Try it all. See what you like best and what gives best results. Aint really no principle on what level erection you should have.
 
E,it's been a while homie.Nice to have you back on here.Anyways,did you mean by best results from the jelq,that is should be the most expansion/engorgement?And is this lengthwise,or girthwise??I guess I'm a bit confused here,since when I jelq at 50-60%,it lengthens nicely..but the expansion is not all that much.But when I do it 70-80% the expansion is alot better,yet the dick doesn't seem as long as the other percentage jelquing?So what do I go for in this situation??Thank you.
 
Great thread red. Would this apply to clamped jelqing as well, seeing as there will be more blood to play with, meaning the penis would be more erect? I.E, do you start jelqing when erect in the clamp and then just let it subside whilst continually jelqing?
 
Yeah this thread is all politically correct so to outline the procedure correctly but feel free to adjust the jelq how you see fit.

Kiplynx, yeah it would apply to clamping aswell. Start jelqing once your clamped and fully erect. At first because your new use light grip, maybe medium and go slowly with fast motions too.

The erection will subside and when it does ger aroused again and repeat the jelq.

I always found my best gains when I jelq were at 80-100% erection with slow motions but hard to medium grip, so to push all that blood towards the head throughout the shaft but if your very new work into it.

from my standpoint, I'd say jelq at 80% +.
 
i have a question - i try to do a jelq, but i am afraid to squeeze my dorsal nerve - so i try to avoid and do jelq motion only from bottom of my penis to the dorsal nerve without squeezing it, but the motion is too short to perform the exercise as it should be performed.

please give me some advice, i don't want to damage my dick...

You can if you feel ready, I always jelq erect but some like to jelq at 80%, 90% etc. It is really what works best for you.
 
I may sound foolish for saying this. But on my first time jelqing I didnt use a warm wet cloth. I simply just massaged my penis; making it sorta hot and then I jelqed

Is that dangerous??

Also is it important for the hands to switch off??
 
Is not dangerous no and although you can jelq single handed it is usually done via both, so yes its important to switch.
 
If you dont have any lube would it be ok to use alot of soap or nothing at all?

NO! That will dry your skin and cause serious irritation. If you have no lube opt for dry jelqing. The Slow Squash Jelq is a great "dry" exercise.
 
Just do a Dry Jelq. Same as the Wet but you dont slide down the shaft, its more a holding and moving motion.
 
So I started doing wet jelqing this week and like it a lot. It looks really big after and perhaps has similar psychological effects as a pump-I wouldn't know as I've never used the latter. But there is clearly benefit to immediate short term gains on the mind.

Questions: First, as you may know, I am primarily using an extender for long periods (4+ hours per day) as the core of my program. I was curious if it's okay to start jelqing like I have been... all that stretching definitely fatigues the penis and I don't want to overdo it. Currently I'm doing 300 wet jelqs, 1 second each, alternating hands with light to medium pressure-nothing that is uncomfortable in the least.

Second: So can I just start jelqing every day (7 or 5-2) like normal or do I need to modify this due to the 7 day on, 0 days off extender usage?

Basically I want to make sure I'm getting girth gains, I don't really want to add any additional devices at this point so I wanted to bump it up a notch on girth work. I really want to hit 6" MSEG as soon as possible, while still being careful.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated on the combination of these 2 routines. Also-when able (ie when at home) I am warming up for the extender (heat pad) and also in the shower for the jelqing (just waiting til hot water has been on it for a while). Thanks in advance!
