ok stick with me here. Most bodybuilders im sure you all know use Human Growth Hormone to increase muscle size. What it does is NOT increase the size of the fibers like steroids do, but increases the CELLS in the muscle. More cells = bigger muscles, and the gains are SUPPOSEDLY permanent. There has been evidence that HGH also increases cells in all other bodyparts as well (heart, intestines, etc..) where one evidence is GH gut. Thats where the stomach sticks out a lot because the internal organs in thearea increased in size due to stimulation. The muscles are stimulated by lifting, so they increase in cell count, the internal organs increase due to the excessive amounts of food we consume, some get GH gut some dont. All depends on you. I was wondering if you stimulate the penis like we all practice here already, if GH would enhance the speed and quality of your gains? I.E. Increase cells in the penis and make it bigger. What do you think?

I know testesterone and DHT are responsible for muscle development as well as penile development. So if HGH indeed was found to increase muscles then it could work for Penis Enlargement also!!

BTW,
have you been taking HGH or come across people who took it? Any long term side effects of HGH you know of?

"8isn'tenough" is trying out the experiment here with GABA (which indirectly raises up HGH).

HGH effects cell turnover rates in type 1 collagen and this is the material that makes up the tunica. But, there are no claims that HGH will increase penis size at all, only speculation. HGH is expensive but if you have the means to do it, I would say go ahead.

Someone actually attempting this would answer many questions that I have about if collagen production is good for Penis Enlargement. I once thought of using GH along with an ADS to see if this excellerated growth.

Being froma non biology background I'm curious about this. The difference between cancer and healing! Healing stops when the cell damage has been repaired, while cancer doesn't stop? So lets say HGH stimulates cell production. Does this mean that HGH binding to the cell receptors triggers some genetic transcription which tells the cell to multiply? This means that blood level of HGH is the determining factor for cell multiplication & cells will continue to increase as far as there is sufficient level of HGH.

Or, does HGH work like wound healing? That would be similar to traction where cells multiply in response to continuous tensile stress? And this is triggered by micro cracks (wounds) and is similar to the process of wound healing. In this case HGH might lead to increased cell count only in the affected areas.

Is it possible that %HGH in blood increases and it just flows without triggering cell growth anywhere in the body? In that case cells are totally unresponsive to HGH?

A very complicated answer is coming on this one. I'm going to need to quote more than one reference site. Although, I do understand somewhat what the purpose of GH is, explaining that your organs aren't going to continue to grow forever will be difficult. Look up mRNA for a better understand on how the body mediates growth. HGH effects cell turnover rates as an adult more than causing some type of uncontrollable hyperplasia as seen in cancer patients.

I will answer your question after I find exact reference sites to pull from.

Human Growth Hormone (Hgh) is a protein hormone of 191 amino acids that is synthesized and secreted by cells called somatrophs in the anterior pituitary gland. Human Growth Hormone is like estrogen, testosterone, progesterone, melotonin , or DHEA - one of many endocrine hormones that decline with age. Totally unique to Human Growth Hormone is the fact that even though its secretion declines with age, the body still produces the same amount of hgh as someone in their 20's. The problem lies in releasing human growth hormone from the aging pituitary cells.

Many of the bodies' hormones can be replaced with supplements to deter some of the effects of aging. But Hgh goes far beyond their scope - not only can hgh prevent biological aging, but it REVERSES a wide range of the aging process/s signs and symptoms. Human growth hormone has been scientifically shown to be able to turn back the biological clock as much as 20 years!

Human growth hormone is the most abundant hormone secreted by the pituitary gland, a process that peaks during adolescence. Gradually Hgh Human Growth Hormone secretion diminishes with age. Starting in the 20's, Hgh hormone secretion declines about 14% a decade, by 60 you only secrete 25% as much Hgh as the average 20 year old. This human growth hormone reduction, greatly contributes to the acceleration of the aging process.

How does declining Hgh effect our mind and body?

Hgh declines with age and is directly associated with many of the symptoms of aging, including: cardiovascular disease, increased body fat, osteoporosis, wrinkling, gray hair, decreased energy, reduced sexual function, impaired physical performance (muscle tone and strength), psychosocial deficits, poor sleep and others. Many of these hgh deficiency symptoms have also been found in younger adults who have hormone deficiency.

Most importantly, recent medical research has clearly demonstrated that by increasing growth hormone production, we can significantly eliminate the above symptoms, reversing the biological effects of aging and reduce body fat, increase lean muscle mass, strengthen the immune system, improve sexual performance, lower blood pressure, lower cholesterol, restore hair color and growth, increase bone tissue, strengthen the heart and increase energy.

In reviewing the benefits of human growth hormone above, it is hard to believe that Human Growth Hormone Therapy could have so many benefits. However, as you examine medical research over the last 10 years that looks into Hgh and the various bodily systems, then you are sure to understand why hgh human growth hormone therapy has been hailed as the modern day fountain of youth.

How does Human Growth Hormone Function in the body?

Hgh cycles
A key component is hgh cycles. It is important to know that hgh cycles throughout the day. As hgh cycles it is primarily released in a pulsating fashion, with serum concentrations generally lowest in the early morning and highest overnight during sleep stages III and IV. Human Growth Hormone is quickly converted by the liver into IGF-1 (also referred to as growth promoting metabolite somatomedin C), and then circulated throughout the body. IGF-1 is the factor that is measured in the blood in order to determine the level of human growth hormone secretion.

A critical concept in understanding human growth hormone deficiency is that it has two distinct types of effects:

Direct Effects are the result of human growth hormones binding its receptors on target cells. Fat cells for example, have growth hormone receptors, and growth hormone stimulates them to break down triglycerides and suppresses their ability to take up and accumulate circulating lipids.

Indirect Effects are mediated primarily by Insulin-like Growth Factor (IGF-1), a hormone that is secreted from the liver and other tissues in response to human growth hormones. A majority of the effects of human growth hormones is actually due to IGF-1 acting on target cells.

Recent hgh research has revealed that the aging pituitary cells can still secrete as much growth hormones as someone in their 20's if they are adequately stimulated. This astounding discovery is the basis of homeopathic Hgh releasers and Hgh releaser supplements, and the second type of prescription hgh that is in the process of being developed. These alternative methods to Hgh prescription injections act to stimulate the pituitary to release the human growth hormone, which is actually still produced by our bodies as we age. These types of Hgh research therapies are not based on pumping the body up with synthetic Human Growth Hormone, but with releasing human growth hormone from its dormant state in the pituitary gland itself

The Human Growth Hormone exerts its effect by binding to a single-chain plasma transmembrane glycoprotien receptor. The highest concentration of hgh receptors are found in the liver, adipose tissue, heart, kidneys, intestine, lungs, pancreas, cartilage, and skeletal muscle. This may help to explain a lot of the incredible benefits associated with increasing human growth hormone secretion in the body. As Human Growth Hormone secretion increases all the above body parts are enhanced. Human growth hormone circulates bound to plasma proteins known as growth hormone binding proteins GHBP) At physiologic concentrations, approximately 50% of Hgh Growth Hormone is protein bound. Clearance occurs rapidly through the kidneys, liver, or target tissue, with an average half life of 10-20 minutes

Whoa! Are you like a biochemist or operator of a meth lab in some dark trailer in the Midwest passing the time on by between shipments on a PC? You seem to know a lot about this chemical interaction stuff and the body.

That's cool. At least you'll make some money of that kind of knowledge. Are you going to one of those four year schools or the post degree schools to get a PhD?

Yeah biochem and biophysics is the most interesting fields right now. Seems like a totally unexplored/un understood field! Moreover the manmade field of computer science (my area) is going natural with stuff like genetic algoritHydromaxs, neural networks, complexity theory etc..

BTW I found this link on HGH used as a body building supplement. Interesting side effects. Their dosage of 4-6 iu is comparable to the 5 times increase of HGH from GABA (serum level HGH is about 1 iu). You mentioned fat loss. I guess it's because of insulin resistance leading to hypoglycamia. I think u'll feel drained out if you are out of glucose right? What other complications can come out of hypoglycamia? I only hope it doesn't increase heart, intestine & pancreas (bloating of gut) etc. But it is supposed to increase collagen tissue!

If I were to tell you that Finasteride causes gyno then you would laugh at me because it has only shown to do so in .5 % of those taking it. Dutasteride is about 1% of those who take it. Testosterone supplementation is also 1-3% gyno. But, those who do not know this will be quick to say that something like Androgel will cause gyno while never even mentioning Finasteride or Dutasteride. This is the trap we all fall in.

So, the Atkins diet can also cause hypoglycemia.

Yes, you may have low blood sugar from using HGH. You can increase your carb intake and this will rectify the situation.

This is all very fascinating and great...really I am pleased with it all.
But a note.
Please try to make it easyer and more understandable for guys who dont have a clue about this stuff.
Like break it down and explain what it all means step by step so we can all follow and understand......we aint all got degrees remember.

Thanks.

Gyno= Male Bitch Tits
Hypoglycemia= Abnormally low blood sugar
Finasteride= Propecia/Proscar (for balding)
Dutasteride= For balding but blocks more DHT

Anything else you guys need explanations for, let me know.

Thats the way....thanks alot man.
Just do this with ya explanations as at times I myself get bogged down with the info' you Biology wizards present.

Actually there are documented cases of HGH supplementation causing penis enlargement in adult males. But I think it's still a fairly rare phenomenon.

I never saw that before. Interesting concept. There are only a fraction of GH receptors in the penis as compaired to other parts of the body. I bet its more to do with IGF1. I searched the Internet for someone claiming to have grown with GH/IGF1 and never found it. I would love to see it if you can find it.

That was some type of BS. People need to stay of the crack. I knew about that thread before. My brother went all crazy over the idea.

I was more thinking of IGF1 as a Penis Enlargement aid. I don't have the cash to try it though.

You got a brother? I see there are more crazy make your dick grow like a Chia Pet threads over there. I don't weight lift so I don't have any idea what the fuck they are talking about.
