Alright, I haven't been able to get a clear answer on this but I know there are some pretty serious hangers here.

1. Do you think it is best to hang something like 5 on 2 off, or just hang indefinitely and stay fatigued?

2. Does you head get purple at all near the end of a 20 min hang? If it does, is this dangerous?

1) I was using a 5 or 6 on, 1 or 2 off (depending on the schedule and allowing for the occasional missed day), 4 hours total time a day routine for about 3 months last year. I gained 3/4" in length in that time. I wish I could have kept that up but I couldnt due to schedule/life changes. Look at BIB and DLD's examples. When it comes to length training, more=more. Girth seems to be a different story though.

2) Yes, my glans ALWAYS got purple during a set. Perfectly normal after you consider what hanging is doing. Youre cutting off the blood flow to the glans, slowing it way down and on top of that adding pressure. Of course it's going to turn purple. The color always comes back after you take the hanger off though.

I hang 6 days a week, at least an hour per day @ 15 lbs. Sooner or later I'll measure I KNOW I've gained 3/4-1 inch over the past 6 months FOR SURE. Dont worry about the purple totally natural, goes back to normal in minutes. Faster with heat on it.
