Hanging 101 + Sample Routine Post #1

1. This can not be emphasized enough -- pain is BAD!!! If it's anything beyond a dull burn, you're doing something wrong.

2. Never hang erect or partially erect!

3. Before hanging, remember to warm-up the area with a hot rice sock, heating pad or hot towel.

4. Limit sets to 20 minutes, followed by a 10 minute break and at least a couple of minutes of light jelqing to restore circulation.

5. Pay close attention to the color/temperature of your glans. Dark/cold=bad.

6. Remember to squeeze the blood from the glans while you're attaching your hanger.

7. Start your Thera-Band/swimcap material back a quarter of an inch from the beginning of your cotton wrap.

8. Retighten hanger after weight is applied.

9. Hanging is not a weight lifting competition. Too much, too soon will do more to slow down your overall gains than too little will. Start with a pound or two and move up very, very gradually, adding a pound or two after each week of hanging. Below is a copy of ledzep's beginning hanging record as an example.



Month 1 -- 5 pounds -- 5 days per week -- 45 minutes per day


Month 2 -- 7 pounds -- 5 days per week -- 45 minutes per day


Month 3 -- 10 pounds -- 5 days per week -- 60 minutes per day


Month 4 -- 12.5/15 pounds - 5/6 days per week -- 60 minutes per day

Supra, Thanks for this routine. I just started and was trying to figure out whats right for me. This really helped provide a starting point. Although I went with three 20 minutes sets @ 4lbs to start. Just works for me.

Just one question: When I hang I stretch out the penis and wrap it in a good sports wrap, but I find that when I do this it ends up slightly twisted in the direction I wrapped it. Anything to be concerned about with that?

Incidentally, it doesn't result in any pain or discomfort.
 
I just counter it with using positioning the weight in diff directions
 
Is this hanging compatible with a tronbosis? because i am waiting for it to heal and i dont want to mess up :D

I have not heard of hanging contributing to a thrombosis. But, if you already have one, I would let it heal before beginning.

Basically I want to gain some length/girth but I'm not looking to be massively huge just some solid "above average" size you know. And I think stretching/hanging will be the easiest and less time consuming method for me. So my question is, Supra since you seem to know a bit about hanging (I have DLD's guide for stretching) One, where can I get the best device for a hang setup talking weight holder and shaft device. Two, what are the most likely gains following this type of routine?
 
You squeeze out the glans to prevent any kind of pressure on them to prevent bursting blood vessels and the like. When you hang the weight pulls the penis skin/blood and everything towards the head. If your head is already full of blood pulling more to it will cause trouble.
 
I was thinking of adding hanging to my routine. Does anyone know where I can get a hanger?
