Flight attendant admits bomb threat
Tennesseean |
"In a confession statement, flight attendant Gay Wilson apologized for leaving a bomb threat note on an airplane, an FBI agent testified yesterday in a preliminary hearing. The threatening note was left on an American Airlines flight from Dallas-Fort Worth to Boston on May 27, forcing the plane to be diverted to Nashville... It read, 'There is a bomb on board this flight to Boston in cargo. Live Saddam.' ... President Bush and Air Force One happened to be in Nashville for a fund-raiser at the time the flight made an emergency landing. The American Airlines plane was escorted to the ground by two fighter jets."
