So I purchased a Bathmate Hydromax X40 from DLD.. got it today, was excited.. so finally I go to use it tonight.. and it was a total fail lol.

I used it in the shower so I followed every step from 1:45 minute mark in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NrEn0cJLJD0

After the pump is filled with water, up against my body, as soon as I switch the valve to the middle position (open) most of the water runs out, I pump, more water runs out but no seal formed. Tried it 4 times with no luck, then I gave up.

What am I doing wrong?

Am I filling it up too much with water? I fill it up to about half an inch from the top of the chamber/gaiter.

Is the water supposed to leak out when the valve is in the open position?

Water is supposed to leak when you pump to create a better vacuum. The way I do it is having my finger pressing the valve while water fills the tube (my finger is there so water does not leak before I start pumping). I fill the tube, stretch my balls a little and put the pump on trying to avoid ballsack pumping. I push the pump toward my body and water starts leaking for the valve. I pump a several times and have a good suction level. I was the absolute same on my first session. Now I fill the whole pump with water and till I get it ot, some leaks, but that is nothing to worry about. One thing you can actually do is just pump and place your finger on the valve to make sure no water gets out till you pump again. :). I'd LOVE to help you cause I was in the same shoes and had someone to guide me. If you have any questions, PM, post here, chatbox, whatever you find comfortable :)

The thing is mine leaks by its self without pumping. I will post video soon.

If you have the x40, then you should be able to flip the knob on top of the valve to either the left or right to lock the valve. Doing this will prevent water from coming out while filling the Bathmate up. I have it locked and able to fill it up with one hand. Once I put the pump on my body I flip the knob to the center and start pumping.

That's the thing.. Once I flip it to the center position all the water leaks out.

Is it leaking after pumping? When the knob is in the center it will start to leak. The trick is to attach the Bathmate to your body with the knob off to the side, then flip to the center. Once it's in the center immediately start pumping. Once you have maintained a good pressure from pumping no water should be coming out of the valve unless you pump.

Yes this is what I do. But the majority of the water leaks out and no suction is formed

I think you should just make a video and let us all see it.

I am trying to upload it right now..

so when you attach the pump to your body and switch the valve to the center open position, are you supposed to pump it like crazy before all the water leaks out or what?

Either the pump is defective or I suck at pumping.

What sould happen is you should put your pump on, and as you move the pump toward your body you should see how the valve is spilling water. That's what should happen... When you post the video we will see what is the problem and if your pump is defffective- you should just ask DLD to send you another one or give you back the money :), but I seriously doubt that DLD would give anyone something that is deffective :)

If your trying to use the pump in the shower you have to put it on fast so not to much water falls out like have the pump head pointing down and insert your dick while in this position and pump fast a few times to get suction and try holding it agaisnt your body with one hand and pumping down with the other it takes practice but youll get it. It sounds like you are taking the pump and before you even get suction most of your water is gone you need the tube to be almost full of water by not spilling to much water when attaching to your body hopefully that helps :)

Come on DTF, what happened? Did you fix your issue?

Haven't had much time to mess with it.
I sent DLD an email a couple days ago saying it might be defective but no response yet.

He has been abcent for quite some time now. I'm pretty sure he'll answer you when he gets some free time.
