England - USA 1:1... wtf ? The Americans played pretty well, but England should really kick out Green, because that was a ridiculous goal. It's not only because of this miserable game, but also in his past he got some goals that were simply stupid...

The match was pretty boring but the USA have decent players in the team, that's for sure. Green did make a terrific save in the 2nd half and I don't think he's that bad a goalkeeper. England to be fair don't have any world class keepers ATM. James and Hart aren't that good either but James is allot more experienced out of all three and I would go with him.

Lennon and Heskey impressed me though. Lennon's speed and Heskey's through balls were good. Thought Johnson was also good but Cole was blocked off all night by the yanks.

Argentina will be the winner!!!

Yeah they impressed me with being ranked so low. Their goal wise quite good as well.

How about the Swiss beating Spain! I was surprised and Uruguay are doing well.

Yeah Uruguay beating S. Africa 3-0 today was impressive. It kind of sucks living here in the US that the games are all during the day cause im working.

France beaten by Mexico! wow another surprise. Looks like France are going home. England will pull it out the hat against Algeria on Friday, certain about that. The USA are actually a decent team and its wrong for people to have assumed they should have had a hiding. The keeper used to play for Man Utd and many of the US players are in top teams across Europe.

Algeria should be easier though. Need to let Rooney and Defoe run riot on them.

England against Algeria on Friday was a shameful performance by England. I've never seen such poor play ever by an English team. No desire, no determination, no nothing. They are a disgrace to the nation and are overpaid. I prefer Rugby myself and the England team are true lions for them but the England football team ... well ... shocking. Dont deserve to get through the group stage and Capello the manager cant be blamed all the time. Every manager England has gets blamed in the end.

What it boils down to is England team is hyped up too much, when in fact they are nowhere near as good like the nations of for example Argentina, Spain, Brazil, Portugal etc etc. We used to be world class like 15 years ago but now we're nothing and need to face that, stop expecting and assuming we should easily beat teams like the USA and Algeria because we're England ... we're in the lower class of nations football wise, like those two nations themselves ... just need the penny to drop and than to take positive action to build up international tactics and a decent squad.

I think that the USA and Slovenia will qualify from our group. If the USA beat Algeria and hey they had a goal disallowed against Slovenia from 2:0 behind the US made it 2:3 .. now that's passion and commitment for your country!!!! If America beat Algeria and England draw or lose to Slovenia, than we are out. A win against Slovenia is a must and again they are considered minnows in comparison to his hyped up England. Personally now I would like Slovenia to hammer England and ensure the penny drops and something IS DONE for the future of English football.

I'm for Argentina too, but Maradona is one hell of an idiot... or do you have an explanation on why he didn't let Zanetti and Cambiasso participate? At least they have Messi, who truly is an amazing player.

Indeed, it was pretty impressive. But we also have to consider that Brazil couldn't prepare for this match, because there is simply no international player in the North Korean team and nobody knew their tactics. On the other hand Brazil is a well-known country for football and a lot of players (if not all) play in European A' leagues, so the Koreans could study their tactics/weaknesses.
I think Argentina can win this tournament, even if the two top players (Zanetti and Cambiasso) aren't playing for the team.

Sad to see the USA go home but also glad to see an African team stay in Ghana. England tommorow against Germany.

Yeah they look good going into the next round.

I'm pleased they won as Brazil are just the usual in the same later rounds every time. Disappointed about Ghana going out but Uruguay is another shock nation to make it this far. Spain should nail down Paraguay tomorrow but this has been a WC of shocks.
