Father, daughters share funeral
Northwest Indiana Times | l
"Friends said Sally Czechanski was regal, classy, with a great sense of humor. Her younger sister Georgeann 'Gigi' Clarke was fun-loving, unpredictable and forever living life to the fullest. Their father, Richard Czechanski, owned Calumet Barber Supply in Lansing for more than a half-century. He was a veteran who lived through the Great Depression... In what was called a tragic and inexplicable series of events, the two sisters died together June 25 after Clarke suffered a heart attack while tending to her sister, who had just days earlier also had a massive heart attack. Meanwhile, Richard Czechanski of Lansing died June 20 in Michigan City after a long illness. He was 82."
