Do you see your penis as being larger or smaller than it is?

I know I have always viewed my own as smaller than it is. I don't see it as small but I see it as smaller than it is. For instance when I measured 8" I saw it as like 6" when I was 9" I saw it as 8". Now at almost 11" I am just starting to realize 9??? I wonder why this happens. Any insite?

Angles may be the cause for the size difference. I am 7.2 BPenis EnlargementL, but I see it as 6".

Same here, I aint measured in like 6 weeks, I must be 8.60 inches erect now in length and DEFF' 7.50 in girth yet I don't see myself as big at all.
I find myself as average, I don't know why.

I see myself much smaller than I really am.

We all look at it in Birdseye view, which is the worst to look at it from.

Oddly enough, I see myself as bigger than I am. I just look down and say, "Damn, I look huge today." Then usually when I go to measure, I am not substantially bigger, or I am the same size as usual.

So needless to say, I now avoid measuring too often, and I use the perceived size I see as motivation that my efforts are paying off.

I also see myself as smaller than I am. Only when I measure it do I think to myself "oh yea, I really am 7" non bp!". I relate it to body dismorphia. When I was into weight lifting it was the same thing. Even when I was ripped and 5' 9" 190lbs....I saw myself as my former 5' 9" 160lbs. I think a lot of guys who lift and have made big gains in muscle size/weight have the same issues. They never see themselves as big enough.

I too always tend to see and think of myself as quite a bit smaller than I am. This seems to be a very common thing here and while the bird's eye view may account for some of this I think there is more to it than that. Perhaps part of it could be due to the fact that we are all smaller than we would like to be.
This perceptual discrepancy I would imagine is also one of the reasons why so many keep setting new goals as they reach initial ones.
It would be an intersting bit of psychology to investigate I imagine.

Perhaps I should start a B.D.D. thread again.

Me too. :) Looking at the penis from the top makes it look smaller. I found that if the erect penis is pressed down towards the legs, it looks longer, if you lift it up towards your chest it looks smaller. I think that's why some blacks appear to be big in flaccid, if you lift them towards 9 o'clock direction, they would probably look smaller. In short, a 8'' dick becomes a 9 incher when pressed towards BTC and becomes a 7 incher when lifted to an angle 10-11 LOT. Also, looking at your penis from the mirror makes it look larger than your own angle of view.

I view my 8" as 6-7" :(

Gets me down, and makes me lose confidence often.

I always view it as being smaller than it actually is. Looking down at it, gives a mis-perception of smaller. Even in a mirror, I view it as average.

I've read size data studies, and according to those it is large.

However, I feel it's not near large enough.

I tend to view six inches as small. Seven to seven and half as average. Eight to nine and half as larger average. Ten to ten and half as large. Eleven to twelve as huge.

When I reach nine, that won't be enough. Ten not enough, eleven not enough, twelve not large enough.

As a Penis Enlargement freak, my view the subject is flawed... *g*

Thanks for you involvement guys. I think this thread is a wake up call that most of us could benefit from sharpening out cognitive skills. If you have not taken this survey I created please do so. I spent allot of time developing this thread and it is a very good read especially for those who suffer with a skewed perspective of self view.

When i just look down at my dick i see it as smaller but if i look in the mirror then i see it slightly bigger but still small. Maybe its the angle.

Check the link above...it is very good

I don't know.

I probably see myself as being smaller than I am and I do think the downward angle makes this a common phenomenon. However, there is no denying my flaccid length is pathetic. I guess I tell myself "Hey, it always looks smaller than it is", but there is no denying it truly is small.

I guess it's a lot like when I'm picking a shirt out. If I'm going to work, I stop and figure out what I can wear that will make me look thinner, or should I say less fat. However, sometimes I get frustrated and say "fuck it", because the reality is I'm fat enough that nothing is going to make me look truly "thin".

It depends for me, some days i see myself small and others I look at it and say I know i have a big dick. I have no clue why i see it small some days and big on others.......I'm 7.5-7.75 EL.

I too think that I'm smaller than I actually am. Probably for the reasons already mentioned.
