Do gains tend to be linear, as in:

If the total gain is 2'' in length, then it is typical for a man to experience ~.1'' in length-growth for approximately 20 months, or is it much more typical to have various "bursts" of growth, during concentrated periods?

Well it's all about consistency. Why do body builders train for 6 to 8 hours daily for years. We all know the reason. Same is with p.e. Now p.e is very simple with so many devices along with scientific studies. Ask DLD who gained without the use of devices.

I was just using the statistics above as an example, as the question (with your example) would then be:

If a person gained 1 inch in 3 months, would you expect their gains to be approximately .33'' per month, for 3 months, or would you expect the distribution to be far less even?

well that's the point. We need the scientific material to answer this question. Now even I have thoughts.

Gains can come at any given time and the reasons can some times be elusive. Keeping a journal will help as far as having a history to look back on in hopes to see what created the gains. For me gains were steady in length for me but girth was a different story. Girth came in strange bursts over the years I have trained. In my first year I was only able to gain .5" of girth in comparison to 2.5" in length. My second year when I started to do super-sets and an early version of SlowSquashJelqs I saw girth come on in .25" chunks throughout that year and into the following years. There was no real rhyme or reason, just appeared.

This makes a lot of sense, as length seems more mechanical, and girth seems physiological, if that makes sense.

I really cannot say but I'm currently on a journey to gain 1.5 inches in 4 to 5 months. I started this journey today.

You gained 2.5 inches in your first year DLD? Would you be so kind and tell us how? :D If I'd manage to do that, I could reach my length goal in about a year lol :D

Dld made those gains with his bare hands no pe device. I'm using the SG and the length master daily and I'm confident that I will gain 1 inch length in 3months no doubt about that.

He did the newbie stretching twice a day I believe.

Man that's crazy :O I'm just starting out and I am probably going to freak out when the first gains arrive. I should be set with the LM and the Phallosan.

Do you think 2 LengthMaster Sessions per day would be too much for in the beginning?

Your best choice should be the Phallosan and the length master. As a beginner, you can start off with one length master session.

The first year was made up of the Newbie Routine for about a month and then a modified version that included some of my first exercises I created. Later that year I got the first PowerAssist and this became a big part of my routine. My routine basically followed the 5 Phases found on Matters of Size Members Site. Since then I have created many routines. The greatest routine today is SRT and the SRT 24 Hour Routine. If I had this knowledge and equipment back in the day I know it would have not taken me 10 years to get to my goal size. I made very fast gains in my first year but it took all of 9 more years to get to my goal.

There's no limit to the amount you could stretch. I gained about .25 inches in the first week just by doing the newbie stretching routine and mandigo stretches twice a day
