I have heard it said on many forums that gains will get slower and slower as we grow. I am challenging this notion as is may be in our heads. I think if we expect something to happen the chances of it happening are greater. In this case I think some guys gain an inch then expect the gains to slow because this is what so many say and ultimately they mentally slow their gains. For some this is a discouraging point and may cause some to quit. I have a completely different opinion on this.

I have always believed that the longer we become the easier it is to gain length . I think the added length allows for different exercise that was not possible at shorter lengths. I also like to look at the percentage of growth. If a guy with a 5" penis gains at 10% a year on average his second year will yield more gains based on his percentage of growth. I think the problem is in the routine not in the gain potential. I think periodically the routine needs to be re-evaluated and changed according to ones needs. I think giving up a routine that initially gave us great gains is hard sometimes but it needs to happen to stimulate new growth during a plateau.

I have changed my routine 4 times since I started Penis Enlargement. I did some minor tune-ups here and there but a major routine change happened 4 times. When I reached a plateau of more than a month or two I knew something needed to change. My new workout would be completely different then it's predecessor. I thought this necessary to continually shock my growth.

I am now fine tuning my forth workout (as some know it's been months in the making) My last plateau was at 10.5" erect and I am struggling now for that 11". For a while I was reserved to the thoughts of stagnation. I really started thinking that my gains are supposed to slow. It's an easy trap to fall into. I want my percentage of gains to remain consistent and this is a total mental and physical effort. Being positive and believing in myself is so important and will be my ticket beyond 11".

Well my dr. has told me since i was 13 that i was wired up bassackwards. My gains if anything are improving. After i reached over 2 inches growth in lil over 3 months I completely changed routines. Most of the change was due to the accident with the hand. I really got pissed and was feeling sorry for myself and the gains completely stopped. few weeks back I decided it was now or never and plunged in full speed ahead. The gains are once again amazing. Don't think i will measure again till maybe Christmas. What a present to myself from myself (and all of you guys) i should be 7 1/4 -7 1/2 at that time. Quite an improvement from 4 1/2 in May this year.

I think it's mental challenge as well. Look at all the guys who post about how "to gain an inch a year is GOOD" WTF is up with that crap? SMALL THINKING guys that's what it is about. You can gain what you want to gain within your bodys limits and within your determination to gain. The mindset that "gains will slow" is a very self limiting approach. You get out of Penis Enlargement just like out of life in general what you expect to get. If you accept or expect failure "oh well winning isnt everything" thats what you get.

I think that if you begin to seriously doubt the effectiveness of Pe, that is when your gains slow. They slow because you lost faith and began to slack off on your exercises.

YEP, another great point there. I've talked to several guys having problems gaining over the years, including myself.....yes myself and I talk sometimes ;) and most of the time they admit to not putting in the work they should be to see the results they desire.

I'd be happy to gain an inch every year... in girth. :p Since skepticism is the most common attitude towards Penis Enlargement many people don't, can't or won't put in the hours (I've had some problems lately myself), and then the lack of gains is just "normal". I personally haven't gained that much (roughly 1.6" in length ) but I've only spent 8 months on active Penis Enlargement.

The point about gains allowing access to new techniques/variations is a good one but seems to work mostly for length . What can be regarded as a "new technique" for girth work once you gain there? A two-handed jelq? (When you can no longer fit your hand around your base... ;)

As a bodybuilder, I can confirm that everything you've said, DLD, is true. I used to limit myself so much by buying into all the dogmas: you can't grow past a certain age; you can't overcome bad genetics; you can't get big arms if they are too long; etc., etc. And yet here I am, at an age when I "should" be past it, growing everyday, and looking better than I ever have. I intend to think of Penis Enlargement as just another aspect of bodybuilding, and just KEEP ON GROWING! If you apply the right stress to any bodypart, it has to adapt; why shouldn't that be true of the penis? It's just a matter of changing programs and throwing new stuff at it, so it can't stagnate. Of course, it helps to have a great "trainer" and we've got you!

I work harder now and get less in return, I'm definally not slacking. Hanging has kicked in a new growth spurt for me. I got most of my gains doing less but as I went on I had to keep on adding to my workout in order to get a growth return. Maybe I could see as a guy gets bigger he is less driven than he once was, thats true on my part but I still keep going.

I know now I have to fight for each and every dick haired size gain I get.

I agree that lessening motivation, resulting in less work, can cause gains to slow....but that's not always the case. The simple - and, yes, undeniable - fact is this: The closer we get to our genetic potential (in any endeavor), the tougher it is to make progress.
Again, why could a beginning weight trainee add 50 lbs to a particular lift (say, the benchpress) in only 6-8 weeks; yet, the world-record holder in a given weight class might only add 5-10 lbs - in an entire year! If he adds anything. He might never duplicate his lift again (at least in that weight class), then somebody else comes along eventually and sets a new mark. And, ironically, the world-record holder knows a helluva lot more about weight training than the beginner, but it just doesn't matter.
DLD knows there is truth behind this, since his present gains are not as fast as his early gains - yet DLD still wants 13.6" NBP, so he's still looking for another 2.5-3" or so. If gains don't slow, he should get that last 3" as quickly as he got his first 3 inches.

I change my routine every 3 months. It's the best thing you can do in this case.

Every 90 days is a good deal of time. But I would also say that if you are still gaining with what you are doing continue on that path until there is a plateau.

I was gaining with the bundled downward stretches until I switched to bundled length master rolls. At least I have the option of going back to the downward bundled stretches and still make some gains. But let me keep on changing my routine every 90 days. After 9 months, the remaining 3 months to complete one year, I intend doing all the exercises I did in the 9 months period daily for the remaining 3 months.

You can also change up how you are training, time, reps, order, this will also help things keep a moving factor.

I've been holding each stretch for about 1 minutes 20 seconds.

Hold for as long as your intensity is strong. 30 second, 60 seconds, whatever. As long as there is intensity the stretch can go on for a great deal of time. I find that after 60 seconds I lose some strength and then I rest and start a new rep.

Same with me, I re-adjust my hands most times and I do get tired hands some times but it's all part of the process to make gains.

As we progress we will need to implement much much more intense methods to keep growth going. Once you make an inch gain in any direction you realize PE works you will make you best gains but as time progresses intensity and change will keep you from a plateau.

Yes that's right and that's why I'm looking for ways to get an extender to intensify my routine.
