DLD Triangle Pyramid Hanging
As with all routines start with 5 minutes of Bundled Stretches to prestretch the Tunica. 20 pounds is an arbitrary number which can be replaced by 10 pounds or 5 pounds depending on your experience. So using the reps at below adjust those numbers to lower numbers for beginners use. Also for time sake’s if eight sets are too much you can reduce the sets by reducing the time to 15 minutes per set or eliminate a set or two.

30 Minute Sets
Set one: 5 pounds
Set two: 10 pounds
Set three: 15 pounds
Set four: 20 pound
Set five: 15 pounds
Set six: 10 pounds
Set seven: 5 pounds
Set eight : 2 pounds

By the time you hit full fatigue at set 4 from there you’ll start to reverse the process going lighter with each set to ride the fatigue even longer! So first we increase weight taking full advantage of the increased fatigue by increasing weight and then riding the fatigue to the lightest set.

After you are finished put your SiliStretcher back on and where in a moderate to light setting for the remainder of the day.

Thanks alot dld

Never a problem one of my favorite things to do is write routines so I hope this helps you. And remember the numbers are arbitrary so they can be adjusted if you need help with that let me know.

Ok thanks I'm only planning on hanging for 1 hr . Since I'm going to be using the LM for 1 hr. But I thank I can make it work I'm thinking 4 sets of 15 min going from 11,12,11,81/2,lbs what do you think dld

This is exactly how I will be structuring my workouts :) I have a different name for it, slightly different in a few ways, but the end result is a match.

Funny how we are so much on the same page :)

That sounds like a good starting point so I would try it and see how your body reacts. If all is good then you should be a solid length routine for you. Please give it a go and let me know what happens.

Which hanging program do you find more effective: Reverse Pyramid or the Triangle Pyramid? Do you choose your hanging session based on the time you have that day? As mentioned above, what would say is the shortest period of time for each set of the Triangle Pyramid Hanging (if time was a factor: would you say as short as 5 minutes per set would be acceptable= 40 minutes total hang time or would you opt for the Reverse Pyramid or another length workout on that day)?

They’re both pretty much the same the only differences you’re adding a scale going down with triangles so it takes twice as long. I suggest going with Reverse Pyramid Hanging to begin with. If you’re not feeling enough fatigue you could try triangles or increasing the weight.

Ok yes. Today, I completed another triangle hang following LM session (60 sec in all directions: 1 complete twist L and then R).

I was only able to use the 2.5 lbs previous to today’s session (weights came separate from the rest of the SRT package). I was 2/3 of the way through when I found the workout again. I started off with 2.5,5, and I experienced silicap slippage when I added 7.5 lbs. I think I had residue left over from last night’s jelq/ pump session.

I will be sure to apply MOS grip to cap and sleeve before tomorrow’s hang.

5 minutes bundled stretching: that only counts the time in the stretch but is there a more detailed explanation of this posted some where? My LM sessions take just over 30 minutes.

Yeah it sounds like you need to add some of that MOS grip, it works wonders in absorbing oil’s and giving a much better grip. I’m very happy that you’re doing triangles and please keep very good track of everything so we have a record to go on as I believe you and one other person are doing the triangle pyramid.

Will do. I have a log that I fill in daily with what I’ve done. I haven’t recorded my day yet today, but I had the day off and completed my most intense and SRT training day so far while I did things around the house.

I’m going to order the duros because i feel that I am deforming the sleeves (hanging over 5lbs) faster than I’d like.

DURO Sleeves are Made just for that! I’m hoping to hang close to the 30-35 pounds.

When hanging, should I have the pressure on the silli stretcher bell cranked all the way up? It seemed to hold better after I quickly reseated the sili cap on and finished my 7.5# set at max intensity.
