I have a problem. When I took that time off for my thrombosis I started to slowly lose some girth. Before my injury I was on a long plateau so I thought it would all be cemented. Now I am back at it and making some good gains from hardcore clamping and some other stuff. My problem is I am thinking about enlisting in a few months. If I do the mainteance routine on the paysite will that cement all the gains I will recieve from the hardcore shit I am doing up until then? Also I won't be able to do the once a week thing for life, only the six week part. I am nervous that I will eventually lose everything and not be able to do anything about it.

Once your gains are cemented a maintenance program will be fine. The trick is making sure your gains are cemented. What I would do is get a bit beyond your final goal and then go into maintenance this way any minimal loss will be ok as your goal size is less.

How long does it take to cement gains?

I have always waited until I was a quarter inch past any given size to consider a gain as cemented. For me this process is constantly evolving as I am not finished gaining:) I would think 6-8 weeks a gain would be permanent.

That's a good estimate. I know that my occasional forays above 6.1" midshaft girth (up to 6.34" max) were never held for that long. I know I've cemented 6.1"+ since I haven't been below that for over a year. But if a gain is held for 6-8 weeks steady, I'd say it's "cemented."
