DLD,

i noticed that you said Ganstarr Moment of Truth was one of your favorite songs. I think that song is the shit! I was wondering if you ever listen to...

Sage Francis
Atmosphere
DJ K-Salaam
BluPrint
BusDriver
Eydea

just to name a few. Its refreshing to read that not everyone listens to that mainstream garbage about their Bling-bling and their Escalades with 20in chrome. I say, Bitch I cant afford that shit, so why do I want to hear you rap about the shit you got!

I hate most mainstream music...I guess i refuse to be a meaningless number in their Target Market.
Also Target Market is one reason why music, movies and reality TV sucks a big fat one. What happened to classic movies like Casino, Taxi Driver,or Pulp Fiction??

Hey man I am into rap.

Underground is cool.

Necro
Ill Bill
Afu-Ra
Gortex
Cannibal-Ox
Cocoa Bruvaz
Royce Da 5.9
DJ Lantern
Non Phixion
Uncle Harry
Rat-Pac
HH_Mexicano
Chicano_Rap
La_Pagina_De_Los_Perreadores

---

Outta all of them I really like Ill Bill the most....what a FUCKING rapper...from Brooklyn as well.

Search Kazaa for Hollow Tip, X-raided, Spice 1, Mic C, and Luniz for some dope shit

Damn many artist over there =)
I've heard of many of them, but there are as many i havent heard too =)
Starting that *Kazaa Lite* ;)

Have ya'll ever heard Swedish hiphop? =)

I always wonder how I miss threads when I'm on this muthafuca all frickin' day. Anyway, I am a true fan of the old skool. There is very little I like after Biggy dropped (not that BIG was old skool) But after about '95 things just went to crap. With the exception of a few artist it's hard for me to rock anything after '91. I love the stupid early shit from Audio Two to Zulu Kings and most shit inbetween. Some of my favorite joints come from producers like Pete Rock, AfikaBambaadaa, BuckWild, Ali Shaheed, MarletMarl, Howie Tee, Erick Sermon, Dre, Premier. II love break beats too.

Thats alotta shit i've never heard! =)

2Pac were the first rapper i've ever heard, and i think still he ownz
to bad he died doe :/ But it was Biggie who started the beef...
Ended up with two great rappers 6 feet deep in caskets, stones next two one and anoter...

Snoop Dogg used to be great, but nowdays its going to hell... That has happened to many of the rappers... but some come back, new faces show up and pimp the scene.
Still its the "beef" beeing a prob,
Shady/Aftermath Records vs. Murder Inc
Nas vs. Jay-Z
Can't they just drop that shit? Maybe its that all those gangsta rappers gotta have someone to scream fuck you at... :p

So yeah the Old Skool were great no shit-talkin' , just straight breakdancin'! hah

I'm mostly into Def Jux as far as underground. I see Cannibal O was already mentioned. I would ad El-p and his former group Company Flow as well as Aesop Rock ( who I didnt much care for before, but I like Bazooka Tootj). Cannibal OX may have broken up, but hopefully they can get it together to followup the Cold Vein, which is my favorite release since 2001.

bumping this I found searching hiphop.

Mine is KRS-1

I'm also down with Wutang, Jedi Mind Tricks, and A Tribe Called Quest

I go mainly by producer more than rapper. My favorites are:
DJ Premier
Staik Selektah
Alchemist
Pete Rock
9th Wonder

If they are making the beat I am all over it.

Not forgetting producers like Mr C, African Bambada, Beatnuts, Clark Kent, Dr. Dre, Kenny Parker, shit the list goes on and on

damn how'd i sleep on this thread!!! (my bad just realized this was a ancient thread ima post anyway aha)

i agree now days hip hops shit... im pissed they dont bring stuff out like the old days.
some rappers do and there shit bumps, but most of them cant compete with the old days, it dosent have that feel.
its been so shit ive fell victim to the new school.. yes i like some of it jus bc i do... keep hating haters.

anyway the main type of hiphop i like is the old school gangsta rap,g funk, dirty south, and some east coast

i have too agree ill bill and his bro necro have some sicc shit, and deffinitly the chicano rap scenes bring bacc that old west coast i love.
