I grip at the extreme base, sorta reaching into the fat pad to get the grip set. I kegel then follow by increasing the grip pressure. I slide into the first motion, holding the kegel through the entire process. As my grip nears the glands, I grip with my other hand and follow with a second motion. Finally, I follow with a third motion from the original hand. I rest for a second and repeat. I would say each motion is about 2-3 honest seconds, not a quick count. It's a little slower than DLD's demo clips. The first ever workout, I did about 30 of these sets of three jelqs. Ever since, I've tried to increase it by 5 sets, or 15 jelqs, every night or two.

Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated. Do you think I should increase from three reps in a series?
 
Yep, increase reps., 3 is not enough!
At least 20 to start with(depending on erection level and pressure)!
Your technique seems okay to me. What is your erection-level and do you do under- or overhand grip?
Vote for overhand in the first month of Penis Enlargement.

stop the motion about 3/4" or more before reaching the head, the CC isn't connected with the CS and if you go to close to head you might press the blood in the wrong direction in the end!
Just look and feel how it's for you!
 
20 non-stop reps? :eek: Wow, sounds like a lot!

I had no idea about stopping short of the glands.

You are kidding right? No personal insult intended man but, I thought everybody knew about that? LOL. When i was jelqing, I would go for 30,45 or 60 minutes straight some days. I used to count reps but, that gets very annoying after a while especially when you get around to doing 500-1000 reps+ in a session. You can pretty much guestimate about how long so many reps takes to do after a while and then just go by the clock.
 
i just continously jelqed for 30-45 minutes. no counting or nothing. about 1-2 seconds a jelq...

penguinsfan, write little less, but Penis Enlargement much more! That's my advice to you!

See, I thought I read over at Thunder's, prior to the birth of MOS, that after a couple of strokes one should sort of slap it against a leg to insure good circulation and a quick moment of rest. This is where I figured I'd go about 3 reps or so before shaking it (I see no reason to "slap" it against my leg).

Bear in mind, I'm talking about consistent reps and sets, not minutes. I too jelq for about 10-20 minutes, depending on the day. Of course, a little of this time and letting erection die down, adding more lube, etc. I can easily see myself getting up to 30 to 60 minutes in the coming months.

From what I've read elsewhere, various sites praise the positive aspects of jelqing, but some say there is a relatively fine line between technique that is going to provide good gains and that which is harmful. I don't know. You can see I was off course in my personal routine, so I'm glad to have your comments.

I'll get ready for my workout here in a few minutes and I'll try to up the number of steady reps tonight.

I really can't bring myself to write less. Don't get me wrong--I know I should be Penis Enlargementing more, but I love this board. I'm an overanalyzing fool and that's just my nature. I'm sure I'll be at 10,000 posts before I'd think of calling myself a "vet". When I take an interest in something, I'm not content to simply do it but I want to thoroughly study and learn everything I can about it.

Here is something else I just thought of. I remember DLD saying he would kegel blood into the penis just as he began the jelq motion, which is why I kegel while jelqing.

I don't think I can possibly hold a kegel throughout 10-20+ jelqs. Is this realistic? Do the PC muscles actually get strong enough to hold a good kegel for this length of time, or is it not realistic to hold it from start to finish?

I think most of advanced Penis Enlargement'ers kegel while jelqing BUT you just need a short kegel and then clamp and hold the added pressure at the base and you can release your kegel for the time the motion needs.
No need to kegel continous!

I did. Went to workout right after I posted last night. I hadn't jelqed in two days, as I was out of town and busy, and I only did 10 sets of 10. Yeah, I know that is not an adequate amount of work. I was getting tired, only to later lay down and toss and turn for two hours, and I was having a problem I never had before. I was having a hard time maintaining anything more than a 50% erection. :( Maybe it was karma for all the jokes about the Bob Dole Viagra commercials.

Pole, I assume by overhand grip, you mean with the palm facing the body and the back of the hand facing the glands. That is what I primarily use, as it feels more comfortable. What is the difference between the two grips, or rather the effect the differenct grips have?

Vice versa! palm on underside of dick!
With 50% to 80%(erec.-level) jelqing and a downward motion(make sure to hold/pull at end of motion for 2sec) this is the way to jump start your gains while relatively new to Penis Enlargement!


Today go for 10 sets of 20! At least!!!

And don't come tomorrow and say you didn't!
 
I took pole's advice. I just finished 10 sets of 20. Used a combination of grips. The grip with my wrist turned over and fingers away from the body really seemed to hit the vein down the left side so much to a point of being nervous.

It would be much better if you just replace the jelq with SSJ
