Consecutive days hanging question

Hi,

I have only been hanging 2 weeks now and I have a question regarding consecutive days.

On Monday I was able to 6lbs for (2) twenty minute sets. On Tuesday, I had to drop to 5lb and today down to 4lbs. Is this normal? My ligs were very sore and stressed when I tried to use the weight i used the day before.

Is this a good thing? Or bad?

Thanks in advance.

fubar,

What quijjiboo said. Ride the fatigue as much as you can. Be sure what you are feeling is a comfortable soreness, and not pain. Pain is an indication of injury, severe tissue deformation. Soreness is an indication of controlled damage.

You started at six lbs. If you have to drop down to 2-3 lbs, you might think about one day off. Then try again.

Thanks for the input guys.
I had to take today off because I couldn't handle it. I will get back into it tomorrow.
Do you think 5 days a week of hanging is enough?

fubar,

It is enough if that is what your body requires. Understand?

I used a schedule of essentially five on and two off per week, but this was because of privacy issues. I usually tried to do a little work on the weekends also, because it made it easier to start back up on Mondays. Not quite such a shock.

But it is sili to think that body tissues would react better to some set schedule. I believe that, outside of privacy issues, you need to set your schedule according to what your body tells you, just as you described above. Your body told you to take a day off, and you listened. That's great.

The key is to try and stay in fatigue as much as you can. For a month, this might mean something like 9 on, 1 off; 6 on, 1 off; 8 on, 2 off, etc.

Stay in fatigue, and avoid injury. A comfortable soreness is good, pain is bad.

Thanks Bib . I was back in the "hanger " today and felt great. Like you said, weekends are very hard to get anything done, so i am trying to do m-f. I can do some stretching on weekends, but with the wife and kids around, hanging is pretty much impossible.

Thanks again for sharing your knowledge, I appreaciate it.
