Ok, I know this is hearsay, but I take cold water showers after girth workouts, and occasionally after length workouts. I know that most use warm water/wraps. I use hot water to start so I can get clean from all the vasoline, and then I hit the cold water. Ice and cold applications have been used on other body parts to speed up the healing process. I sprained my ankle on friday of this week, and I was on the court three days after, now I had some soreness, but for the most part was 100%. I get spots on my shaft when I do my girth routine, and it use to be that my dick would stay that way for a few days, but now it's gone in the morning. My girth workouts keep getting better and better. I've cemented my gains so far, so I now have a flaccid hang of 5 X 5. For those worried about flaccid hang, don't be scared, your flaccid goes right back to normal, because the area outside of the shower should be considerably warmer than the water, which means your hang will be good-great, mine always is. If you're having trouble being consistent and worried about over training, try the shower for two-three weeks, and you will see a differrence.

I know there were threads from the past on this topic, and I know hot v. cold is a big issue. I say try both. I use warm water after the cold, to get fresh blood, and then back to cold to finish, and I am absolutely amazed at the difference in my hang, and the strength of my morning wood. Try it out and post your thoughts.
 
sounds like you put a lot of thought into this. I will try it. Hopefully it works. =)

It kind of defies logic, because warm water helps to expand, while cold water will shrink you, literally. So question is, is it beneficial to shrink yourself after you're done?
 
No, warm water brings warm blood to the surface (skin), while cold water brings warm blood to the core (under the subcutaneous layer of fat below your skin).

I only take cold showers and freezing baths and everyone thinks I am crazy, but they just are ignorant of the benefits of this lifestyle.
 
You dont gotta go all out freezing cold. After your done washing up with hot water, turn it down to warm water for like 30 seconds, once you get used to that, turn it down a liiiil bit more, till you get used to it, and so on till its pretty cold but you can stand it. I did this every once in a while, I think im going to do it more often now
 
When I can be arsed or get injured I do Freezer/Boiling treatment, works GREAT.
Get two bowls of water, X1 freezing cold with ice in and X1 with boiling water in.
Now simply slap ya cock in the cold one first, leave for 5 seconds than slap into the hot for 5 seconds and keep alternating for at least 10 mins.
I find this encourages circulation, hardens erections, helps healing.

I think the shock of it is beneficial too so that may not be as good of an idea. I'm not sure tho. Can someone help me out?

Yeah, but it is kinda fun to burned at the stake...not that I would know:D
 
Back when I used to be a bodybuilder all of the guys would take cold showers because they thought it stimulated testosterone production. I dont know if this is true or not, but you sure feel better after a workout with a cold rather than hot one.

I think bringing hotdogs to the roast would be apt.
 
The biggest thing about cold application as opposed to warm/hot is the removal of metabolic waste from the injured tissue/cells. Hot apps can retard the healing process by causing clotting at the site, which means the recoptors will not receive the info to necessary for the body to begin healing, which means fewer workouts due to slower recovery time. I have been using cold over hot application for nearly a month and a half, and it keeps getting better, workouts are better and can be done daily, and I've also noticed improved erection frequency after workouts. I have a ROP too, so it's all good. Holla.

Hey I tried it after you posted this.
I was doing 10 or so min. of ATS rollers, clamping, running cold water over it for 1 - 2 mins then doing my ab workout for 11 mins. when I do the cold water I was still rock hard after ab workout, but would shrivel if I skipped the cold water. So a late thanks SWM!
