Many types to choose from. Ideally, you want a ring that fits snugly but can be easily removed when you are flaccid. A beginner should stick to rubber rings as they are easy to remove vs hard rings. Hard rings give more pressure and more temporary size increase when erect, but can be harder to remove.

^ I've heard some successful clampers use that warm-up. I usually just get hard, and hop in the Xtreme for a little bit. That always gets the juices flowing, and then throw on the clamps to edge it %100 erected. After I have good pressure for a minute I start to gently bend. I'm forgoing jelqs for now, but ill jelq more in the future because its a great complement to my harder routine.

I have several of the horseshoe rings. The best one for erection enhancement is the metal h2.0 curved, but it's not comfortable for all day wear. The slim ellipse is awesome for wearing all day. I like the ellipse because it has an almost square diameter and that means you can wear a tighter ring but it's easier to get on and off than a solid round one. The metal h2.0 curved is awesome for sex too. It'll turn your cock into a cum cannon.
