WOW!!! I have had my Rop for like a month or so now and i have just always cleaned it with soap water and like alcohol. I had noticed that it had gotta a little bit discolored but not as bad as i thought until i clean the copper and zinc with an SOS pad today. I can't belive how shinny the thing got i compared it to my other two that i have never worn and it is actually shinner than them. My question is if its never cleaned with a metal pad or sos pad for that matter can that build up effect its voltage and is there any infections one can get from the build up????

I think this:

Steel wool differs from Brillo pads in that it isn't inundated with detergent. It's just the pure steel strands. Highly abrasive.

I think steel wool would save you some cash too, it's pretty cheap in big bags even.
