Got a Bathmate X40 Extreme a couple months ago. I've been using a Bathmate X30 for year and I get a seal on the X30 no problem. I got the X40 Extreme because I wanted to experiment with more vacuum and because of my erection angle (rather high) the top of my glans gets smashed into the chamber of the X30.
I bought the X40 Extreme through the MOS link and it gets a good seal if I test it on other surfaces. So I'm pretty sure it's authentic and is working properly.
When I use the X40 it gets suction and I feel it pulling. Then air starts to leak in from the bottom (where the penis goes in).
I think the problem is that I can't get a good seal around the skin. I'm not a big guy, 5'8" 160 lbs, my penis is just above 5 inches erect girth and 6 inches erect non-bone-pressed length. My right testicle is pretty small (a lot smaller than my left which is pretty big) and it tends to get sucked into the chamber. Even on the X30 I pretty much have to use the X30 comfort pads to prevent "testicular ingress" (ouch!). In other words I'm wondering if I'm just not big enough, body-wise, to use the X40?
I have tried tying and wrapping my testicles but it doesn't leave enough skin to make a seal.
Very Frustrating! The suction on the X40 Extreme is great. Awesome product especially with all the extras, but I don't know how to get it to stay on me.

A couple things to try. Be sure to trim pubic hair down to at least 1/4", this will prevent vacuum from interruption. Also, use a small amount of vaseline around the base seal that goes against the skin, this will fill in any areas of air loss. If this does not work you can try to rotate the BathMate a quarter turn and test to see if you get solid vacuum, if this does not work turn another quarter and try again, do this until you get back to the normal position. If none of this helps I would check the base of the BathMate and be sure there is not a tear or uneven area causing the interruption. If it turns out to be faulty they will ship you are replacement.

I do keep my pubic hair trimmed. I will try your other suggestions. Thanks DLD!

Please let me know how it goes so I can help if you need.

Trim your pubes down to nothing and go further out than you think you need to. I get bubbles even with just a little bit of growth. Also, try pumping to max pressure right away to ensure a proper seal. If you pussy foot around with it, you might muck up the initial seal.

Put it on.
Manually pump to max pressure.
Attach hand pump
Pump up another 5-10mm
Good to go.

You can try the lube thing too.

Also, pull your valve apart and clean it and put it back together a few times. Sometimes it needs to get seated properly and can take a few wacks to get right.

^dragon a way to help you pump to max quicker is ditching the comfort pad . If you haven't tried it do its a different feeling that you might like better. I have been ditching my comfort pad for four days, and I think I have a reduction in fluid retention yay!

FireDragonLeo, Did this help you?

This is the second thread I've checked up on where a guy has an issue, brothers offer suggestions and then the thread dies out and the OP never comes back? What gives?

I always figure something came up in life that prevents them from coming back for a while. Most men who leave eventually make their way back. A great way to remind them of the Brotherhood is to bump their old threads.

Probably got it to work and didn't need to come back. Some are here more for receiving help rather then giving help. WHich is cool...not everyone has to take their time to do so. It would be nice to hear if they fixed the problem and how though. This seems to happen pretty regularly.

Right. I just want a hey this worked or that did t work kinda thing.

This is the OP. I really appreciate all the suggestions, help, and interest in this thread. I've been busy with acupuncture school, work, being a single dad and trying to fit some PE in. I appreciate the posters giving me a reminder to respond.
I did find that not using the comfort pad improved the seal considerably. It still wasn't as good a seal as I get on my Bathmate X30 (non-extreme). I found I had to be very careful about moving once I got the seal set, whereas with the X30 I can walk from the bathroom to my bedroom without a problem. The seal seems to break as my right testicle gets pulled in. My right testicle is fairly small, so maybe I just don't have enough skin? This is without the handball pump.
I can't get the handball pump to work at all. I stand in the shower with the skin pulled taut, pubic hair very short, with the Bathmate full of water and pointed down. No matter what I've tried with the handball it sucks in a lot of air as I pump.
I've only spent about 5 or 6 hours working with the X40 extreme over the last couple months, as I'm usually pressed for time and I can get a good seal with the X30. I should have some time over Christmas break to experiment a little more.
PS I've had great success healing a nagging thrombosis with enzymes from the health food store. I'll post an update in the Injury forum. I really appreciate the support of the brotherhood and desire to give back as much as I can!

Yeah you have to position the hand pump hose just right over the valve to get it to suction properly. If it is off just a little it is tough to make work. Have you seen my videos showing how I use my XX40?

You need to point the handball up so it draws proper. If the ball has some water you can pump while pointing down, but after that you have to point up to fill it again. It has to do with the pip sliding forward cause gravity.
