Cameraman killed filming dangerous intersection
Omaha World-Herald |
"A KETV photographer who died Thursday after being hit by a car will be remembered as a devoted family man who loved his job, his co-workers said Friday. Jeff Frolio, 45, was struck by a westbound car about 5 p.m. Thursday while crossing West Center Road near 222nd Street. He was taken by helicopter to Creighton University Medical Center, where he died later that night. Frolio and a reporter from the Omaha television station were at the intersection shooting footage of a roadside memorial erected for two Elkhorn High School teens who died May 4 after a two-vehicle accident at the same intersection... 'He probably darted across the road and didn't see the car coming.'"
