If you got some great bible verses, please post them. Feel free to talk about Jesus and the Bible and everything as much as you want. This can be our Bible Study and fellowship.

Man, I've been wanting to bring up this idea, but was not sure how it would be received. To start things off, I think it is esential to read luke 23 and 24.

Another awesome verse that many forget is in Genesis 22, true faith and true love of our Father in Heaven. In all situations He will prvide the way, read what Abraham says to Isaac, and feel the impact of his words to his only son.

Good idea, Supra. Just beware, because pretty soon people will be bashing us in the thread. I think the best way to do it would be to ignore their posts because if we don't then they end up hijacking the thread and it always turns into a "I'm right" "No I'm right" type of thing.

I think a must for any Christian is the book Mere Christianity by CS Lewis. Great stuff. Actually any of his work is amazing. Check him out, he isn't just the Chronicles of Narnia guy. He was an amazing thinker and Christian apologist.

I have to agree on all accounts. We don't want the yayin back and forth between members of the forum. I think a great book to read is by Lee Strobel, it's called the Case for Christ, and also has one called the Case for faith. CS Lewis was an atheist for a long time. He and JRR Tolkien were really great friends, and professor tolkien was an apologist as well.

This will not be a religious debate/aurgument at all!!!!

If it turns into that I will deal with it accordinly and how I see fit and take immidiate action

This will not be a argument, and there will be no bashing, this is just for people to share bible verses and talk about God and problems with falling into the world and how we can lift each other up.

I just read that!! Great! Thanks a lot. Jesus Died for our sins and was handed over into the world of sin in the hands of man, to make us live eternally in his name

I think Jim Caveziel is Jewish. I'm not positive about that, but pretty sure.

I think by "the same" he meant that Jesus was Jewish, just like Mary.

I don't think his appearance was historically inaccurate because there isn't really much anywhere about what he looked like other than that he was probably kind of ugly, and that he was Jewish.

I know but the actor was supposed to portray Jesus Christ, despite the fact that his appearances are historically inaccurate. Thats the point.

And what is the first line supposed to mean exactley? They were the same as what? White?

No not white, how did you think of that. I said that Mary was a Jew and so was Jesus.

This is not going to tun into a aurgment over Jesus Race/Color/Religion or anything else.

This is a bible study about learning bible verses and sharing them with others and there meaning to each individual. That is all.

Also the whole book of Job is amazing. And Proverbs is full of good stuff.

Great idea Supra,

This is one of the parts I really like, because it’s also valid at this moment; everything is commercialized in our world, but we forget the human aspect.

Good luck,
Yves

Jesus at the Temple

Then he entered the temple area and began driving out those who were selling. It is written, he said to them, 'My house will be a house of prayer'; but you have made it 'a den of robbers.
Every day he was teaching at the temple. But the chief priests, the teachers of the law and the leaders among the people were trying to kill him. Yet they could not find any way to do it, because all the people hung on his words.

Luke 19:41

Does anybody know of translated version of the bible...like more understandable...easier to read then the ancient text.

I have a question, was Jesus white? B/c in the 'Passion of the Christ', he looks like he could be from Sweden or Finland. He didnt look like the other stereotypical Jews. Ya know the hook nose and what not.

Wasn't Jesus an Arab?

IRRELAVANT to this thread, like Supra says this is for shareing the love for the bible and fav' verses NOT where jesus comes from or to make comments on other races ..... if you want to do that MAKE ANOTHER THREAD please.

Turk, get a life application bible it is very easy to read and understand

Or in 50 years when I get around to writing my interpurtation of the Bible you can buy that if yer still alive.

This is for comical purposes only, I'm not trying to insult anyone.

Here's a Sample...

Genesis 11 5-9
And the Lord came down to see the city and the tower, which the sons of men had built. And the Lord said, "Behold, they are one people, and they have all one language; and this is only the beginning of what they will do; and nothing that they propose to do will now be impossible for them. Come, let us go down, and there confuse their language, that they may not understand one another's speech." So the Lord scattered them abroad from there over the face of all the earth, and they leff off building the city.

My version:
The Lord floated his heaveny ass down to see this ghetto. And said "Holy shit! Their language is one, and nothing is impossible for them.. what have I done? I better fuck this up before they get too powerful" And the Lord scattered these people across the lands and confused their lanuage.
