I've just ordered the x30, it's arriving tomorrow and I was wondering if anybody could offer me any beginner tips such as how to maximise gains as quickly as possible I'd be very appreciative.

Hello Rodneyshoepot and Welcome to the Brotherhood! he best possible way to use your BathMate and make the fastest gains possible is in the SRT routine. You will find, in the girth section, a BathMate workout called the 5x5x3. This brings amazing temporary expansion which leads to gains at a much higher rate than anything else. It also makes pumping safe. If you need any other help please just ask.

Thank you for the welcome and your help good sir, it's very much appreciated. I will be sure to ask for help if it's needed and I will keep everybody updated with my progress, I'm excited to get going and be a part of the brotherhood!

Welcome Rodney...The BM products are exceptional in everyway but there's a definite 'learning curve' and it's imperative that you use good judgment and listen to what your body is telling you. It's really easy to get overly enthusiastic once you've seen how effective it is, but err to the side of caution...that being said, once you've become accustom to The BM and your routine, you can look into exponentially improving the power via The VacuVin wine mod (do a search).
Best of luck!

Thank you very much, I appreciate the advice. I will be sure to implement it. How long have you been using and what are your gains? If you don't mind me asking, of course.

I've been active/aggressive for a little over 30 months and started just under 6.375" BPEL and about 5.375" MSEG...I'm now 7.875"-8" BPEL and a solid 7" MSEG (girth was really easy for me, oddly enough). I began with the stock X40 for the first 6 weeks or so and was very impressed by what looked to be substantial initial gains (come to find-out that these are more of a temporary nature, but I had no idea since there was never a day of rest...usually I had 2 sessions per day so I was never 'un-pumped'). Here's my progress thread (I don't update it very often, btw)

Interested as to what made you choose the x40 over the x30. I'm starting at 7.4 BPEL and about 5.2 MSEG, was that a bad call by me to get the x30?

I chose the X40 knowing that I was going to commit to PE 100% and didn't want to out-grow the X30 in a few months...at least that was my rationale (thank goodness for the VacuVin)

With the Wine-Vac the X40 should be good for the duration of his training.

Thanks a lot again guys. I'll definitely look into the wine vac, I'm already aware of it just didn't expect to need one so early. Is it normal that I have absolutely no temporary gains whatsoever?

Also be sure to read through the entire SRT thread at leisure. It has so many tips and tricks not mentioned elsewhere.
