Hey guys was wondering if anyone has experienced this and could help, basically when I use my bathmate and I pump it the little black bit at the end seems to extend outwards and causes the suction to just go as I let the bathmate decompress from pumping it. Can anyone help?

Getting maximum vacuum is accomplished through first cutting back pubic hair to about 1/4" and using a small amount of vaseline about the seal that touches the body. If vacuum still is an issue I suggest picking up a universal pump sleeve. The other reason for loss of vacuum could be a dirty valve, in this case cleaning it is important to regaining vacuum.

are you holding the black button down? if not try that as you do the initial few pumps

Good point I missed, thanks Jordey.

Thanks DLD and Jordey for the suggestions I'll try the different ways you have suggested and see which helps

Hey guys I thought I'd report back with the bathmate and what Jordey said seems to make it fine so whether it's me compressing the gaitor to quickly I'm not sure but pushing the black button at the end has made it fine :)

Excellent that this has been solved, the best reason to post on the forum, you get solutions!

I am now on my third bathmate and I would NEVER advise anyone to buy one. Bought an X30 and out grew it. Then I bought a goliath. The thing worked for barely a month and then malfunctioned. The company gave me so much grief before they agreed to receive and repair it. They told me that the value was defective and that they had fixed it. When the thing was returned it's still not working. Or as I should say, it works sometimes, and not others. Fool as I was, what did I do? I figured, maybe I'll have a better chance with an X40 so I bought a third bathmate. Guess now what is happening? Yep. The same thing. Followed the cleaning videos; the whole ball of wax. The truth is that they work for a while and then, after the money back guarantee time expires, so will your bathmate. Don't say that I didn't warn you. At this point I WILL be trying the Penomet. But it will certainly freeze over before I spend hard earned money on that dishonest company again.

You are really the only person I have heard of this. If you buy your BathMate through us they guaranty it and will replace it if there is any issues. If you are not happy with your purchase simply send them an email with your problem and the order number and they will square you away whether it be a new pump or part. My BathMate has worked great for years now with absolutely no issues. It does need to be maintained and cleaned every couple months but that is about it.

tennisball - your review doesn't seem like a true BM costumer service experience. I am guessing you didn't get it through the MOS link. wonder if you are ordering through a fake BM company. my BM has worked for years and i have never had to clean it. Do you have your email correspondence with BM? I'd be interested in reading that. and it would be a good way to actually prove this isn;t a fake post.

Seemed spammy to me but maybe he will come back with some explanations.

The butthurt may be strong with this one.

Did not purchase my bathmates through you. You're not at fault in the least bit. Their customer service and guarantees are abysmal. To Penomet here I go-for good.

I had this same issue, bathmate sent me new valves free of charge, and this has corrected my issue. I didn't buy mine through the site either.
