Greetings gentlemen. After a layoff of several months, I've decided to get back into the PE game. As some of you may recall, I suffered discoloration due, I expect, to clamping and likely to using the bathmate as well. But the biggest problem was the swelling of my frenulum, which, after several months of no activity, remains, as does the discoloration. I can't predict whether or not the discoloration will ever disappear or not. Time will tell. In the meantime, I'm going to focus exclusively on length. I just started back about a week ago, using the Phallosan as my major approach. I'm also wanting to do some manual stretching and some hanging, but am not sure if this is wise. There seem to be a couple of conflicting theories and though I've been involved in PE for a very, very, very long time, I am still uncertain which approach to take. The first, of course, is that a light pull (such as with the PF) over long periods of time (8 or more hours per day) will produce gains. Another approach suggests that some manual stretching such as bundling along with some reasonably heavy hanging produces micro tears in the penile structure and then the PF, with it's light tension, keeps these "tears" open and allows healing in a slightly, but ever increasing elongated state. On the other hand, in an email exchange with the folks at PF over in Malta, they told me they did not recommend using ANY other form of enlargement and went so far as to suggest that hanging or strenuous manual stretching might tend to toughen up the penile tissue and be detrimental to the gains expected by using the PF alone. So, what is a guy to do? I am still of the feeling that some manual stretching and hanging, followed by long hours in the PF makes sense to me, but I'm not certain. I'm also uncertain as to whether or not I should take complete rest days. Sometimes this is unavoidable, but should it be a matter of protocol? So, here is my routine for the past week or so:

5 minutes heat wrap
7-10 minutes manual stretching, sometimes bundled
10 minutes hanging 5 lbs
10 minutes hanging 10 pounds
8-12 hours in the PF, sometimes broken up during the day for various reasons (urination, going to the gym etc), and sleeping several hours at night with it on.
repeat all the above in the morning.

So, from some of you guys that know and remember me, I welcome your take on these questions and and suggestions or advice you may have. I hope to take a new measurement tonight and post progress reports periodically.

That's a curious hypothesis they make regarding 'toughening' and I kinda see their logic, (hence the reason we all experience 'plateaus' at some juncture), but wouldn't that same logic apply, (although at a slower/lower pace) with The PF? The body will try to maintain 'status quo' whenever we attempt to manipulate it, but I still feel PE is just basic physics.

Welcome back my Brother. Things start to get busy here once everyone gets settled into the season. So glad to see you back on the horse!

I dont post much, but when I do, its usually to recommend arneca gel for discoloration. Try it, it works.

What is this and how do you use it? What was your experience?

Arnica gel. Somebody else recommended it a long time ago here. I tried it and it really does work. Its topical, specifically made for bruising and discoloration. You can find it in rite aid no problem. Just apply and rub around your shaft, massage it in. Pretty good for the head too, helps it get healthy again.

I'm always down for trying something new (to me)...my Man1 Oil is almost completely gone, so I may as well give this a go. Does it have a 'lotion-like' feel to it, kinda similar to a moisturizer?

Actually, I have a tube of that sitting in my medicine chest. May as well give it a go. But what about application? Once a day? Twice? etc.

Welcome back fill.

Thanks for the welcome, Lookn4girth, as well as all the others. I was hoping, of course, that someone might comment on the training schedule as I outlined in my first post. In other words, use the PF alone, or in conjunction with manual stretching and hanging? And if so, how much, or how often? By the way, Lookn4girth, if I recall correctly, you've been using the PF for quite some time now. Have you had measurable results? I recognize that you have been using other forms of PE as well, but you might be able to comment on what extent any gains you may have made you can attribute to the use of the PF. Right now, I'm trying to get in 10-12 hours a day. This is not too difficult if you can get in 3-6 hours during sleep, as I do. I think that, if after a couple of months, I've seen zero gains, I'm throwing in the towel. Maybe take up bowling instead LOL!

Its more of a cool gelly. I normally would apply it once a day before bed. The stuff drys up real quick. Also, it does have a certain smell to it, so becareful who you get it close to haha you will see results in a week or so.

Results in a week! Wow! Man, if this works, I think you have brought a solution to a lot of PE'rs that have this discoloration problem. I'm going to start using it tonight. The product I have is called "Arnicagel." I'll keep you informed as to results.

Thanks fill. I have been using the PF for several months now and I have seen results. I have measured once officially and the results were impressive to me. I would have to look back at my thread to see exactly how much the gain was but IIRC, it was about 1/4". I do use the BM in addition to the PF and I am sure that it helps by using both but the PF has helped me in the flaccid hang area. Looking at your routine, I do not see how you would not see results. I am wearing my PF for about 8 hours daily so I would like to think that 10 to 12 hours would put you ahead

Fillerup is a great Brother to take advice from! So happy he is back.

the 'aggressive stretching' followed by the PF makes a lot of sense logically...this needs to be tested

Ah Gee! Thanks DLD. Yes, it is good to be back, and although i'm getting older, I do have decades of PE experience and if I can help and make suggestions for others, it is an honor. Thanks much for the welcome!

Am I older than you? Yup, by 11 years. Started PE when I was 21, 40 years ago. Back then, didn't have too many options. Didn't even know about jelq. There were only 3 options available: pumps, pumps or pumps LOL. And they were crap. Tried multiple, eventually getting better ones such as Kaplan's pumps, the ctc XL1000 and others. Eventually discovered hanging and tried all kinds of things such as 'The Grip', pump/hanger combos etc. Then, with the advent of the internet, I started learning about jelq, manual stretching etc. And of course, there were always the new and improved devices. I got them all including the Bib hanger, hanger, length master, bathmate, Phallosan and at least 3 traction stretchers such as the size genetics and other odds and ends too numerous to mention. I think if I had saved all the money I spent on PE equipment, I'd have a nice retirement LOL! And if I'd spent the amount of time I put into PE on education, I'd be a brain surgeon LOL! And over the years, I had periods of rather intense practice, and other periods where I did nothing. I guess it's because gains, with rare exceptions such as yourself, can be dreadfully slow. Plus I had occasional injuries, including blisters, discoloration. thrombosed veins etc. Still, I'm back at it, but with a milder but possibly effective routine. This morning, did 15 minutes of bundled stretches, then hung 10 pounds for 2 30-minute sessions with a different type of vacuum hanger I picked up cheap off of ebay (works surprisingly well actually) and then wearing the Phallosan for a good 10 or more hours per day, which includes 4-6 hours during sleep. I'll try this for a couple months and see how it goes. I mean, do i want to be spending hours a day on PE when I'm 70? So, yeah, been in the game a long, long time. Wish there was a magic pill, but there isn't. It takes effort, and a lot of time and patience. And so, here I am in my 60's, and the battle goes on :)
