Sometime ago, folks ordered the early runs of the Power Assist and, after readin a couple of the other threads, it made me wonder if anyone stuck with working with the device and how has it worked for you?
It's a piece of crafted wood with a hole in the middle, and with a rope attached. It's used as a fulcrum in a bunch of length exercises. DLD posted a link to the page yesterday, but I forgot which thread it was in.
Also makes a good tool for neck exercises. Put some padding where the hole is, and place your forehead, sides of your head, and the back of your head,(not at the same time you wanka!) over the hole that has the padding now. Hold it on the ends with both hands, and create some resistance while against your head, really exercises those neck muscles, and gets rid of neck flab! It is a formidable weapon when in the hands of a skilled martial artist!
I can't wait to see one. I'll likely not buy one, as I have a wooden original. I just don't use it much, because I just feel like I still have much to gain from basic exercises and I think the Power Assist is pretty advanced.
I can tell you guys, when I first got mine I used it all the time and did very well with it.
In fact, up until my recent injury, I was getting some guys together to do a group study but me hurting myself has put me back quite a bit on that. I am hoping I can regroup after awhile and try again. I would advise anyone who is interested in adding some intensity to their manual workout to try one of these bad boys.
