Welcome back to the new system everyone. It has been one nightmare after another!

IF YOU HAVE PROBLEM GETTING IN! Contact [email protected] to get your password manually reset. The mailserver may not be running properly. That's not a problem at all. Once you're logged in, check your contents. If anything is off, repost it here, describing the issues. We'll get it fixed.

To recap:

Our old server was on borrowed time. Everything about it was either expired, expiring, or literally on pin nails, tapes, and threads holding it together. What unravelled it all up was the forum upgrade from the expired version 2.1 to version 2.3. All hell broke loose.

What did we do?
  • We have to migrate: a new server means we're starting at square one. We did not have any documents from when our original IT personnel were around. We have to go through this one painful step at a time, completely blind.
  • We have to activate and register the new server: 15 days of constantly battling with the IT personnel from 5 different companies. Even when you paid them premium prices, all they said was, "Well, sorry, but it is what it is. We can only do our best." Yeah, sure. This is where we put our noses to the grind stones, and do our magic.
  • Server reconfiguration: we lost count on how many times we have to reconfigure the server with different settings. 20+ years of settings, and we have to figure it all out from scratch. We're still figuring out the settings now while we're up and running.
  • Migration of data: 12 days of pure nightmare. If there are techs out there, you know exact what we are talking about.

Upgrade the 2015 virtual server with better specifications. It will safeguard us for 10 more years. But during that time, we have to maintain it at optimal conditions at all time.

The old databases that housed the data:
  • Old data: Old posts going back as far as 2003. Every few years, the database was being pulled from an old database system to a new one. The communication between the old database system do not work well with the new one. So what happened to the posts? It got scattered everywhere, not connecting to any one account. They are known as orphaned posts, media, and documents.
  • Integration of data: Imagine us looking like idiots trying to force a large square block into a small little circle. Yeah. 2.7 millions posts cobbled together as strings of conversations. Anyone that stares at that long enough, all you see is shear madness. It took us a good 6 days of tries, retries, and brute-stringing the posts together to make sense of it all.
  • Integration of lost media and documents: Our old server was choking on media files that did not have any place to go. They are orphaned from long ago. Searching through them and connecting them, it's a major surgery. Sleepness nights and lots of fluids later, it got up and running to a good extent.

Okay I will let you know. The chat option is not available.
The chat option was one of the program add-on that corrupted the entire system. I'll get a new one soon. The Conversation/Mail client is still working.

20+ years of add-ons and forum installation. A massive undertaking to rebuilding the forum's structure from the ground up with the latest version.

Thank Jesus we are back! I look forward to working with everyone helping to get you where you want to be.
I'm telling you, Jaz is laughing his head off from heaven, and he's telling us that this trial is for us to make things better in his absence.

Thanks for getting this back up and running! I wouldn't know what to do with having you guys and this forum. So glad we're back!

@oldandlively @DLD @huge-girth, does anyone know where SIM's big post about BTCs is now? I tried to access it using the link (https://mattersofsize.com/threads/argyles-awesome-additions-a-3.1831924/post-1976286) in my progress log thread but it doesn't work anymore.
I am so happy too. I have been praying everyday for this victory. I am so happy to see so many return and there will be more and more showing up. This was like the TicTok ban but just like TicTok we are back! Tell all your friends that we are back!

No worries. We're working on the structure again right now. There are too many old and new conflict of documents, so, hang tight. We'll get it all worked out.

His post settings were removed during the migration. Is this what you're looking for?

By the way @Argyle and brothers, the search function tends to be case sensitive for some reason. VERY CASE SENSITIVE. I'm attempting to grab a better add-on for the forum for more advanced searching method regardless of the case sensitivity:

Yes!! This is exactly it! Ty!

Oh, wait... I just clicked the link to the "Why BTC stretches so good" and still got the "page could not be found" error.

Also, I'm not getting notified when people are replying to my posts or tagging me.

So happy to be back! If anyone has any issues please let us know. We want this forum running at 100% so even the smallest detail is important.
Hey boss, if anyone reports a broken link, mind help editing the links:
Example:
If you see something like mattersofsize.com/topics/beginners-manual-penis-enlargement-guide.1717/

Change it to: mattersofsize.com/threads/beginners-manual-penis-enlargement-guide.1717/

Aparently, this is the new database info recalling format. What a freaking pain.

When I click the "stay logged in box," during login, I still have to log back in each time I load up the website. It does not keep me logged in.

Fixed the link you're looking for. I'll repair the rest as well.
Confirmed that the link works on my end as well! Ty!

@oldandlively however there is a new problem: The link itself works, but links WITHIN the link (example videos posted by SIM) give me a "cannot be found error." In other words, I can access the original post by SIM, but cannot access the media he linked within the post. I'm guessing this might be true for other threads as well

We are on it. Please be patient as we fix all of these issues. Keep giving us any issues you may have so we can perfect our Brotherhood.

For that specific, fixed. Let me know any other ones pop up.

This one is being addressed. It's actually a problem on quite a bit of sites all over the place. I'm requesting assistance on this one. This is due to the SSL (security) protocols that just came up since November, 2024. They're still looking for the fix all.

I'm not sure if this will do the trick, but that box is no longer there, but you'll be able to remain logged in for 1 day by default. It will refresh after 1 day to ensure your connection is secured and not hijacked by hacking bots.

“And the Lord said to Satan, ‘Have you considered my servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, who fears God and turns away from evil?’”

I was sleeping so it didn't affect me

Oh @oldandlively it still is logging me in through the security reload every 5 minutes
