I think the issue was the base of the gaiter. Since a bathmate is submerged in water during a bath, it doesnt allow air to escape at the base. Ill keep doing it this way for a few weeks to get some sessions in. After that, ill try it in the shower again. Will post back after.

also, DLD says that the x30 would be great for my goals. The Hercules seems to be the exact same size and shape, only less pressure, but $50 less. If I were to mod the hercules with the wine vac mod, would this be enough to reach my goals of 7.5"L, 6-6.5" Girth? Is a shower trap necessary?

thank you guys for the great response! Yeah, i did look into the vac mod and i'd def do it once I get into a routine after a few months. How long do people usually use a pump until they upgrade to a bigger one? I've never thought about buying an extender. I'll have to look into that...
