Well depends which type of hanger you use if it is compression type of hanger like BIB I would say stick with 20 minute sets since after that comes ''tissue death''.
If your use vacuum hanger like LG for example then you can go beyond that but your at the same time limited with how much...

Well heat makes it easier to stretch your penis and it kind of makes injury risk smaller since you heat your penis up.
I personally use heating pad for 10 minutes to warm up.
I started cooling down instead of warming down since it makes much more sense to me.
